Which File Formats Are Suitable for Logo Embroidery?
The current configurator accepts AI, EPS, SVG, vector-based PDF files as well as clearly recognizable JPG, JPEG and PNG files. A vector file is helpful but not essential. In principle, we can work with almost any image template in which the complete logo, its shapes and the desired colors are sufficiently recognizable.
Even a moderately high-resolution template can be sufficient for manual digitization. The graphic is not simply converted automatically into machine stitches. Instead, it serves our specialists as a visual basis for professionally recreating the design with needle and thread.

If a different product, significantly different design size or new embroidery position is selected, we check whether the embroidery program needs to be adjusted.
Good to know: Real embroidery is not a photorealistic copy of a screen graphic. The logo is rebuilt using thread and individual stitches on the textile. This gives it its characteristic textile structure, visible stitch direction and dimensional appearance.

As part of our quality standards, we generally produce using professionally inspected embroidery files. If you already have a machine embroidery program, you can send it to us by email for a technical check before ordering. An existing embroidery file was created for a specific size, material and embroidery position. Without the original program data, stitch types, density and underlay usually cannot be meaningfully changed. Size adjustments in particular are therefore only possible to a very limited extent or may not be possible at all.

What Happens If a Logo Cannot Be Embroidered Exactly as Supplied?
Very small lettering, photorealistic image areas, tightly spaced lines or barely visible gaps cannot always be reproduced identically with needle and thread. In such cases, we assess how the design can be prepared sensibly for embroidery.
If a visible modification is required, we will inform you before production. The aim is to preserve the character of the logo while ensuring that it works cleanly, remains readable and performs reliably on the selected polo shirt.

No. You can design and order embroidered polo shirts from 1 piece. This makes individual pieces, sample orders, small team quantities and later reorders possible.
Can every polo shirt be embroidered?
Most polo shirts we offer are well suited to embroidery. Material, stretch, fabric weight, seams and pockets can influence the available positions. The configurator therefore only displays the embroidery areas provided for the respective product.
Before production, an experienced embroidery specialist also checks whether the design, size and material are technically compatible.
Can every team member receive a polo shirt with an individual name?
Yes. First create the desired combination of company logo and name and add the polo shirt to your cart. Then return to the configurator, change the name and add the next variant. Repeat the process until all names, sizes and quantities have been fully configured.
Do I need a vector file for my logo?
No. A vector file is helpful but not essential. The configurator accepts AI, EPS, SVG, vector-based PDF files as well as clearly recognizable JPG, JPEG and PNG files.
The uploaded graphic serves as a visual template. Our specialists then create a professional machine embroidery file from it.
Is the automatic embroidery preview already the finished embroidery file?
No. The preview is generated by our auto-digitizing system and is intended solely as a visual guide in the configurator. It gives you an approximate impression of how the size, position and embroidered appearance may look on the polo shirt.
The production-ready embroidery file is professionally created by an experienced embroidery specialist after the order and then provided in your customer account for approval.
Which embroidery positions are available on a polo shirt?
Depending on the product, the available positions include left chest, right chest, back and left and right sleeves. Depending on the model, maximum areas can be up to 130 × 130 mm on the chest, 270 × 270 mm on the back, 100 × 100 mm on the left sleeve and 110 × 110 mm on the right sleeve.
The actual available area is displayed in the configurator according to the selected polo shirt.
How large should a company logo be on the chest?
For elongated logos, a size of approximately 100 × 40–50 mm is often well balanced. Round or approximately square designs often look suitable at around 70–80 mm. The ideal size depends on the design shape, level of detail, polo shirt and desired appearance.
The maximum available embroidery area does not need to be used completely. In the configurator, you can assess the proportions directly on the selected polo shirt.
How small can lettering be embroidered on polo shirts?
Depending on font, material and letter shape, we generally recommend a letter height of approximately 5–6 mm. Open, simple fonts remain easier to read at smaller sizes than very fine or decorative lettering.
Our embroidery specialists check before production whether the lettering thickness, internal spaces and gaps are suitable for the desired execution.
Can I use an existing embroidery file?
You can send an existing machine embroidery file to us by email for technical inspection before ordering. It will not be used without checking. Only after a positive review and suitable test procedure can we determine whether it can be used for the desired polo shirt.
Size adjustments are often only possible to a limited extent with existing embroidery files. If a different product, material or design format is selected, new digitization may be required.
Will my embroidery file be saved for future orders?
Yes. The professionally created and approved embroidery file remains stored in your customer account. For future orders of the same polo shirt, it can be reused in the saved version.
If the size changes significantly, a different embroidery position or a new product is selected, we check whether the embroidery program needs to be adjusted.
How much does a polo shirt with embroidery cost?
The price depends on the selected polo shirt, order quantity, design size, embroidery position and overall design. Additional names or multiple embroidered positions can also affect the total price.

How long do processing and delivery take?
We process your order within 1–2 days. This includes completion of the embroidered items. Subsequent postal delivery within the DACH region generally takes approximately 2–5 days, depending on the delivery address and shipping provider.
Can I order embroidered polo shirts by express?
Express options depend on product availability, order quantity, design inspection and current production capacity. If you need to meet a specific deadline, please clarify the available option with the relevant specialist department before placing your order.
Is embroidery on polo shirts better than textile printing?
For compact company logos, club badges, names and monograms, embroidery is often the more premium choice. It has a textile, dimensional structure and works particularly well with classic piqué polo shirts.
Textile printing may be more suitable when the design contains photorealistic elements, fine color gradients or particularly large areas. The right finishing method therefore depends on the specific design and intended use.
How should I wash an embroidered polo shirt?
Always follow the care instructions on the sewn-in label of the supplied polo shirt. Turn the garment inside out before washing and keep the embroidery away from open hook-and-loop fasteners and sharp zipper edges.
Avoid unnecessarily high temperatures and do not apply strong pressure directly to the embroidered design when ironing. The product-specific care instructions always take priority over general recommendations.
