More about this product

Personalise a Bath Towel with an Embroidered Name or Logo

This 70 × 140 cm bath towel combines absorbent cotton terry with embroidery prepared for the way the towel will actually be used. Create one towel with a name, add a wedding monogram or order a coordinated series with your company logo. Personalisation is available from one item, and an experienced embroidery specialist checks the design, size and selected position before production.

The fabric is made from 100% combed cotton and weighs 450 gsm. It has more substance than a lightweight promotional towel while remaining practical to handle after a shower. A 6.5 cm striped border with an additional outer edge creates a neat finish, and the integrated hanging loop is useful in bathrooms, hotel rooms, spas and gyms.

In the online embroidery designer, you can arrange the lettering, artwork, thread colours and embroidery position directly on the product. The preview helps with proportion and placement. Beforehand, in a separate logo order, the production-ready embroidery programme is built manually for the terry fabric and requested design size.

One Towel or a Larger Order

Create a personal gift or equip a hotel, studio, club or company with a coordinated set. Colours, names, designs and quantities are assigned clearly to the relevant order lines.

Four Practical Positions

Three areas above the lower border suit names and visible logos. The position beneath the hanging loop keeps branding in view when the towel is placed on a hook.

Preview and Specialist Review

You set the visible layout in the designer. Before production, we check whether the lettering, detail, stitch density and placement can be embroidered cleanly on raised terry loops.

Prepared for Repeat Orders

An approved embroidery file can be stored in your customer account. If staff, club members or further rooms are added later, the design can be used again and adapted where necessary.

Which Embroidery Position Suits Your Name, Monogram or Logo?

The best position is not simply the largest available area. Consider how the towel will be folded, hung or laid across a treatment bed. A personal name may sit neatly near one corner, while a hotel or club logo may need to be recognised from further away. Choose the intended use first, then select the area that keeps the design visible in that setting.

Embroidery positionMaximum design areaParticularly suitable forEveryday appearance
Bottom leftUp to 130 × 130 mmName, initials, small monogram or compact logoSubtle and easy to see when the towel is folded lengthways
Bottom centreUp to 220 × 220 mmLarger monogram, company logo, club crest or short wordingA central focal point above the decorative border
Bottom rightUp to 130 × 130 mmName, date, initials or small emblemA discreet alternative to the left-hand position
Top centreUp to 220 × 220 mmHotel name, spa logo, studio mark or company brandingParticularly noticeable while the towel is hanging

The Area Is a Maximum, Not a Target Size

A short name does not need to be enlarged to 130 × 130 mm, and a logo will not automatically look better because it fills every available centimetre. We assess the actual shape, letter height and distance from the border. Width is often the limiting factor for a long wordmark, while a round crest or monogram needs balanced height and width.

Workshop tip: If the bath towel will usually be folded on a shelf, consider which section remains visible after folding. The top centre often makes sense for towels kept on hooks. For a gift presented fully open, embroidery above the lower border usually gives the calmest composition.

Customise Your Bath Towel Online with Text, Artwork or a Logo

Personalise the towel directly in your browser. Choose the fabric colour and one of the four embroidery positions, then enter a name or message, select existing artwork or add your approved logo from “My designs”. You can adjust the size, thread colours and placement in the product view before adding the completed version to your basket.

Embroider a Name or Initials

Clear name embroidery works for families, sport, travel, nurseries, care settings and personal gifts. Short wording allows larger letters and remains easier to read against the texture of the terry.

Create a Monogram

One letter or a combination of initials sits naturally in a centred position. Choose the typeface and thread colour to suit the towel, the occasion or an existing bathroom set.

Upload a Company or Club Logo

Place the logo in the preview and select the required size. Before embroidery, the artwork is converted manually into a machine programme and checked for outlines, lettering and colour areas.

Combine a Logo with Names

The same company or club logo can appear on every towel while each personal name changes. A clear visual hierarchy prevents the two elements from competing within the selected area.

Your logo: upload, digitising, approval — before you order

The current designer accepts AI, EPS and SVG files, and sufficiently high-resolution JPG and PNG images. The visible preview shows your approved logo from “My designs”. It is not yet a production-ready embroidery file.

During digitisation, a specialist defines the stitch types, directions, underlay, density and colour sequence. This is essential because an image does not contain machine instructions, and raised terry loops need a different construction from smooth jersey or a structured cap front. A one-off €50 setup charge applies when a new custom logo embroidery file is created.

About the preview: It shows the arrangement, approximate proportion and selected thread colours. Screen settings, textile colour and actual embroidery thread can look slightly different depending on the device and lighting. If a technical change would noticeably alter the design, we will agree it with you before production.

Order Several Towels with Different Individual Names

A shared logo and individual names can be combined in one order. Add each finished version to the basket separately so that the name, towel colour, embroidery position and quantity remain assigned to the correct item. This is particularly important for family sets, hotel departments, coaching teams, club groups and staff gifts.

  1. Create the first version: Select the towel colour, embroidery position, logo and first name.
  2. Add it to your basket: The completed design is retained as a separate order line.
  3. Prepare the next name: Return to the designer and replace the personal details.
  4. Repeat for every person: Add each required colour and name combination separately.
  5. Review before checkout: Check spelling, capitalisation, position, thread colour and quantity.

A Coordinated Set without Mix-Ups
Keep the logo, logo size and main position consistent across all towels. Change only the name, initials or department. The order then looks cohesive while every towel remains easy to identify.

Create, Check and Store an Embroidery File for Repeat Orders

A vector or image file describes how a logo looks. A machine embroidery file also defines the sequence and direction of every stitch. A new design is therefore prepared for the requested dimensions and the 450 gsm terry. Once approved, the file can be stored in your customer account and retrieved for later orders.

Have an Existing Machine Embroidery File Checked

We do not use an existing embroidery file without reviewing it because the stitch construction, size and intended fabric all affect the result. You can submit the file by email for a technical check. This may take several days, and the outcome is also sent by email. If the file is suitable and you have an account, it can be stored there for future orders.

Can the Same File Be Used for a Bathrobe, Cap or Shirt?

Not always without changes. A design on terry needs different support from one on a polo shirt, sweatshirt or firm cap front. A substantial change in size can also require different stitch lengths and underlay. We check the existing file and adapt it only where the new product, position or dimensions make this technically necessary.

Embroidery Specialists Since 1998 – Now in the Second Generation

stickerei.com has worked with professional machine embroidery since 1998, and that knowledge is now carried forward by the second generation. A clean result on a bath towel depends on more than the machine. Design construction, stabilising, hooping and placement must all suit the looped fabric, and those decisions are made before embroidery begins.

Design Review by a Specialist

We check letters, internal spaces, fine lines, design size and the distance from the border or hanging loop. Any clear technical risk is addressed before production.

Embroidery Programmes Built by Hand

Custom logos are not simply converted automatically. Stitch types, direction, underlay and density are matched to the artwork, size, thread and terry fabric.

Several Embroidery Locations

Depending on order volume, we use several production locations. This allows us to organise personal one-off items as well as coordinated series for companies and clubs.

Checks throughout the Order

Order details, embroidery files, placement and finished towels are checked at several stages. For personalised sets, we also verify that each name is assigned correctly.

What 450 gsm Combed Cotton Means in Everyday Use

The figure 450 gsm refers to the weight of one square metre of fabric, not the total weight of the finished bath towel. It helps place different terry qualities in context. This style sits in a substantial, practical range: the loops provide a generous surface for absorbing moisture without making the towel unnecessarily heavy and awkward to handle after every use.

Combed Cotton

During combing, shorter fibres and loose material are removed before the cotton is spun further. This produces a more even yarn with a smoother feel. In the finished terry, it supports a comfortable surface and reduces loose short fibres, although it does not remove every natural characteristic of cotton.

Terry Loops rather than a Flat Surface

The many loops increase the textile surface and hold water between the fibres. This structure gives a bath towel its absorbency. It also explains why the embroidery requires different preparation from a smooth T-shirt: fine stitches must remain visible instead of sinking between the loops.

Is 450 gsm Right for You?

Choose this style if you want a full-size bath towel with noticeable substance for daily showers, sport, guests or a personalised textile collection. A larger format may be more suitable when the towel needs to cover a sauna bench or lounger, while a 50 × 100 cm hand towel is easier to use for hands and hair.

FeatureWhat it means in practiceWhat to consider
70 × 140 cmA classic size for drying after a shower, bath or training sessionA longer sauna towel may be better for covering a bench or lounger
450 gsmSubstantial everyday terry with a practical balance of weight and handlingFabric weight alone does not describe the dimensions or total towel weight

Why Embroidering Terry Fabric Requires Specialist Preparation

Terry is soft and absorbent, but it does not have a level surface. During embroidery, the design needs to stay legible above the loops while the surrounding fabric is supported against unnecessary distortion. Depending on the artwork, we select suitable underlay, stitch directions and a topping that helps hold the contours at the surface during production.

Large, fully filled areas feel firmer than the surrounding towel. The maximum available size is therefore not always the most comfortable choice. A well-proportioned logo, an open monogram or clearly set name usually uses the qualities of the fabric more successfully than an oversized, densely stitched design with many small details.

What We Check before Embroidery

  • Will letters and small internal spaces remain open above the loops?
  • Does the actual shape suit the selected embroidery area?
  • Is there enough space from the border, outer edge and hanging loop?
  • Are fine lines, colour areas and outlines separated clearly?
  • Is the stitch density suitable for terry without making the area unnecessarily firm?
  • Does a detail need to be strengthened, simplified or resized?
Design typeSuitability for the bath towelWhat produces a clean result
Name or short wordingVery well suitedSufficient letter height, a clear typeface and a reasonably short line
Initials or monogramVery well suitedOpen letterforms and balanced spacing
Compact company logoWell suitedClear outlines, separated areas and an appropriate position
Club crestWell suitedSmall symbols and lettering need to remain large enough
Gradient or photographCannot be transferred directlyThe image must be reduced to stitchable colour areas and outlines
Very large filled areaRequires an individual reviewWeight, feel and stitch density need to be controlled

Practical tip: A name in a contrasting thread is often more effective on terry than an ornate typeface made from many fine strokes. With a logo, the recognisable overall shape should remain intact even if very small details need to be simplified for embroidery.

Embroidered Bath Towels for Hotels, Spas, Gyms and Gifts

An embroidered bath towel serves two purposes: it is used regularly and carries a personal or business identifier. For a private gift, the embroidery can be emotional and individual. In a commercial setting, calm placement, clear allocation and a logo that remains easy to recognise through repeated laundering are usually more important.

Hotels and Holiday Accommodation

A property name or logo identifies the textile collection in guest rooms, wellness areas or beside the pool. Different towel colours can also separate floors, suites or operating areas.

Spa, Wellness and Beauty

Studios and treatment areas can use the same emblem across their towels. The upper position is helpful when the logo needs to remain visible on a hook.

Gyms, Yoga and Clubs

Names or initials make each towel easy to assign. A club crest or studio logo creates a shared identity without changing how the towel is used.

Companies and Staff

A bath towel with a company logo makes a practical staff or client gift. Personal names can be added to the shared design and help prevent mix-ups.

Weddings and Shared Homes

Two coordinated colours, names, initials or a date create a personal set. A restrained design remains suitable for everyday use long after the occasion.

New Babies, Christenings and Families

A name, date of birth or small motif makes the towel distinct. Check every letter and the date format carefully before submitting the order.

Arrange Shared Branding and Personal Identification Clearly

A straightforward rule works well for coordinated orders: keep the shared logo in the same position on every bath towel, then change the personal name within a fixed layout or in a second area. The collection remains consistent while each towel is still easy to identify.

Size, Colours and Coordinated Towel Sets

At 70 × 140 cm, this style is a classic bath or shower towel. It provides enough fabric for drying without reaching the dimensions of a bath sheet or sauna towel. Current colours and stock availability are shown in the product selector, and that live selection applies to your order.

Choose a thread colour that contrasts clearly with the terry when a name or logo needs to be recognised quickly. Light threads stand out on black, dark grey and navy. Dark outlines are effective on white, sand beige, light blue and pink. With heather grey or strong colours, avoid a thread that is too similar to the fabric because the varied surface can reduce contrast.

Plan a Coordinated Set
Use the same thread colour, typeface and logo proportions across the bath towel, hand towel and guest towel. The absolute design size may change to keep the composition balanced on each textile. An existing file is also checked for the different material and position before it is used on a bathrobe.

How to Wash and Dry Your Embroidered Bath Towel

Cotton terry develops its working absorbency through use and regular laundering. Suitable care protects the loops as well as the visible surface of the embroidery thread. This style is washable at 60°C. The instructions on the care label sewn into the delivered towel remain authoritative.

Care Instructions for Terry and Embroidery

  • Wash the bath towel before first use in accordance with its care label.
  • Sort it with similar colours and follow the stated washing temperature of 60°C.
  • Use a detergent suited to the fabric colour and avoid bleach unless the label explicitly permits it.
  • Use fabric conditioner sparingly or leave it out, as residue can reduce the absorbency of terry.
  • Close zips and hook-and-loop fasteners on other laundry so that they cannot catch loops or embroidery threads.
  • Only tumble-dry the towel at the setting permitted on its care label.
  • Do not pull an isolated raised terry loop; carefully trim it level with the surface if necessary.
  • Do not place an iron directly on the front of the embroidery.

Binding care information: Different colours and product versions may carry different instructions. The label sewn into the delivered towel is specific to that item and takes priority over general care recommendations.

Processing, Quality Control and Delivery

We normally process your order within 1 to 2 days, including completion of the embroidered item. A new or technically demanding logo, a larger quantity or a separately submitted embroidery file may require additional review time. The delivery estimate calculated for your address is shown during checkout.

  1. Assign the order details: Colours, quantities, names and embroidery positions are matched to the submitted designs.
  2. Prepare the artwork: A new logo is digitised or an approved file is retrieved from the customer account.
  3. Review feasibility: Lettering, detail, size, thread colours and the distance from the border are checked.
  4. Hoop and embroider the towel: The fabric and design receive suitable stabilising and positioning.
  5. Inspect the finished item: The embroidery, textile and allocation of personal details are checked before dispatch.
  6. Dispatch the order: Once complete, the parcel is handed over for delivery to the address entered at checkout.

Delivery Times by Destination

Postal transit within Germany, Austria and Switzerland is normally approximately 2 to 5 days after production, depending on the address and carrier. Transit times to the United Kingdom and other European destinations vary. The estimate displayed during checkout applies to your specific delivery address.

Before completing your order: Check every name character by character. Also review the towel colour, thread colour, embroidery position and quantity. Each personalised item is made specifically from the details submitted with your order.

Frequently Asked Questions about Embroidered Bath Towels

Can I order one custom embroidered bath towel?

Yes. Personalisation is available from one item, whether you need a single gift, sample or repeat order. Larger orders for hotels, spas, clubs, gyms and companies are also possible.

Which embroidery positions can I choose?

Choose bottom left, bottom centre, bottom right or top centre beneath the hanging loop. The side areas measure up to 130 × 130 mm, while the two centred positions allow up to 220 × 220 mm. The most suitable finished size still depends on the shape and detail of your artwork.

Can I combine a name and a logo?

Yes. A company, hotel or club logo can be combined with a personal name, initials or department. Both elements need enough room to remain clear within the selected area. For a larger set, the logo can stay the same while each name changes.

Which file formats can I upload?

The current designer accepts AI, EPS and SVG files, and sufficiently high-resolution JPG and PNG images. The artwork is used for the preview. Beforehand, in a separate logo order, a specialist creates the production-ready embroidery programme manually.

How much does a new logo embroidery file cost?

A one-off €50 setup charge applies to the manual digitisation of a new custom logo. An approved file can be stored in your customer account and used again for suitable repeat orders.

Can I provide an existing machine embroidery file?

To maintain our quality standards, an existing file is technically reviewed before use. Submit it by email; the check may take several days. If the file suits the size, position and terry fabric, it can be stored in an existing customer account for future orders.

How do I order towels with different names?

Complete the first bath towel and add it to your basket. Return to the designer, change the name and add the next version. Repeat the process until every colour, name and quantity appears as its own basket line.

Is 450 gsm a good weight for a bath towel?

For this style, 450 gsm creates substantial, absorbent terry that remains practical to handle. Fabric weight describes the material used per square metre. It should be considered together with fibre quality, construction, towel dimensions and intended use.

Why is combed cotton used?

Combing removes shorter fibres before spinning, which makes the yarn more even and the surface smoother to the touch. It supports a comfortable feel and reduces loose short fibres, although no natural cotton towel is completely lint-free.

Is the towel suitable for hotels, spas and gyms?

Yes. The classic size, hanging loop, four embroidery positions and option to combine a logo with names suit many commercial uses. Check that the care label and available quantities match your own laundering process and operational requirements.

Can you embroider a multi-colour logo?

Yes, provided the colour areas, outlines and details can be reproduced at the chosen size. Very fine elements or gradients may need to be simplified. Before production, we check that the logo will remain clear on the terry surface.

Is embroidery more suitable than printing on a bath towel?

Embroidery is particularly well suited to names, monograms and compact logos because the design sits as a thread structure on the terry surface. Printing can offer different benefits for large photographs or gradients. This product is designed for clear, well-constructed embroidery artwork.

How should I wash the embroidered bath towel?

This style is washable at 60°C. Sort similar colours, close zips and hook-and-loop fasteners on other laundry, and use only the tumble-dryer setting allowed by the care label. Do not iron directly over the visible embroidery. The sewn-in manufacturer's instructions always take priority.

How long do processing and delivery take?

We normally process the order within 1 to 2 days, including completion of the embroidered item. The delivery estimate is shown during checkout. Postal transit within Germany, Austria and Switzerland is usually about 2 to 5 days; other destinations vary.
