Embroidery tip: The largest possible area is not automatically the best size. Legibility and proportion are what matter. In our experience a classic chest logo already looks balanced at about 70 to 100 mm wide, elongated company logos at about 100 to 130 mm depending on the design. There is a hard lower limit only for lettering: letters under 5 mm high can no longer be rendered cleanly in thread — so the Real View Customizer does not allow them.

The 200 gsm interlock is made from combed, ring-spun organic cotton in the solid colours. It feels soft, stretches comfortably and has more substance than lightweight jersey. An envelope neckline and nickel-free poppers at the crotch make dressing and nappy changes easier.

For a personal design, combine a chosen name with a small embroidered motif or add selected birth details. Arrange the date, time, weight and length clearly so that each detail remains easy to read within the compact area.

Which personalisation suits the occasion?

Name and small motif

A clear, timeless choice for everyday wear. The name remains the main element, complemented by a star, heart, animal or another small symbol.

Name and birth details

A fitting newborn gift. A few well-organised details look calmer than several lines of text given equal prominence.

Initials or a short message

A simple choice for a christening, baby shower or personal family gift. Short wording can usually be embroidered larger and is therefore easier to read.

From the embroidery workshop: A baby bodysuit looks best when the name and motif form one clear design. Very small lettering, long lines and numerous separate details compete for space. Fewer elements usually produce the cleaner embroidered finish.

Embroider the long-sleeve baby bodysuit on the front or back

Both positions provide a maximum embroidery area of 110 × 110 mm. This is a technical limit, not a recommendation to fill the entire space. The right motif size depends on the bodysuit size, shape of the artwork, text length and stitch construction.

Soft protective film on the reverse of the embroidery

After embroidery, the reverse of the stitched area is sealed with a soft protective film. It covers thread ends and the technical back of the design, reducing direct contact with the skin and helping the bodysuit feel comfortable without distracting friction.

Upload your own motif or logo

The logo upload accepts AI, EPS and SVG files and sufficiently large JPG and PNG files. We turn your artwork into an embroidery file by hand beforehand, as a separate order — within 24 hours. In the Real View Customizer you only use logos you have already approved.

Manual digitising before production

For new artwork, our specialists define stitch types, directions, underlay, density, pull compensation and colour sequence by hand. The programme is adjusted to the interlock fabric, motif size and selected position.

We agree visible changes with you

If lines, letters or spaces are too fine for the selected size, we will discuss any noticeable simplification with you before production begins.

Every new design is checked manually

• Does the motif size suit the selected bodysuit size and embroidery position?
• Will the name, numbers and small counters remain recognisable in thread?
• Is there enough clearance from the neckline, leg openings and poppers?
• Are the stitch density and underlay suitable for stretchy interlock?
• Do the thread colours contrast clearly with the chosen fabric colour?

Select the right size and colour

The 0–3, 3–6, 6–12 and 12–18 month labels provide an age-based guide. Babies develop at different rates, so also check the measurements shown with the product and consider whether the bodysuit will be worn immediately or saved for a later occasion.

Allow room to grow when choosing a gift

If you are ordering before the birth or for a later christening, the next age size may be more practical. The baby’s height and build, together with the intended date of wear, remain the best guide.

Different fibre composition for Heather Grey Melange

This marl colour contains 15% polyester and therefore must not be described as a 100% organic-cotton bodysuit. Its exact composition is shown in the product table.

How to care for an embroidered baby bodysuit

Wash at no more than 40 °C

Turn the bodysuit inside out, fasten the poppers and wash it with similar colours. Always follow the instructions on the sewn-in care label.

Do not tumble dry

Gently reshape the long-sleeve bodysuit after washing and allow it to air dry.

Treat the embroidery and protective film gently

Do not use bleach on the design or iron directly over the embroidery or protective film. The bodysuit is not suitable for dry cleaning.
